Cooking & Serving Tips

Slow-Cook / Braise: Brown the shanks, then cook gently for 2½ – 3 hours in red wine, stock, onions, carrots and herbs.

Oven Roast: 160 °C (fan 140 °C) for 2 – 2½ hours until the meat falls from the bone.

Serve With: Creamy mashed potatoes, roasted root vegetables and a rich pan jus for a comforting, elegant meal.

Chef’s Tip: For an extra-glossy finish, reduce the cooking liquid to a syrupy sauce before serving.
