How to cook our Super Saver Six
Rolled Loin of Pork: Cook from room temperature. Dry the skin thoroughly and rub salt into rind. Roast the Joint in a deep tray and cover with foil. Place in centre of oven and cook at 180°C, Gas Mark 4 for 1 hour, 15 minutes. For the perfect crackling uncover the Joint 10 minutes before the finish and turn up the heat of the oven.
Topside of Beef: Cook from room temperature. Roast the Joint in a deep tray and cover with foil, basting the joint first. Cook in centre of oven at 180°C, Gas Mark 4. To calculate cooking times, for rare cook for 40 minutes plus 20 minutes. Medium, cook 50 minutes, plus 25 minutes and for well done cook 1 hour and an extra 30 minutes. Remember to baste throughout cooking.
Mince Steak: Cook from room temperature. Remove from vacuum pouch. Mince makes for a versatile ingredient but pan frying is the most popular Stir fry for 10 minutes in selected ingredients. Serve hot.
Diced Casserole: Cook from room temperature. Cook in a slow cooker on low for at least four hours. Or alternatively cook for three-four hours on 160°C, Gas Mark 2. Best cooked with juices/sauces. Allow to rest before serving.
Chicken Breasts: Cook from room temperature. Cook in centre of oven at 180°C, Gas Mark 4 for 25-30 minutes. It is advised you baste the breasts occasionally with it’s own liquid and sauce that are in the pan during cooking. Allow to rest before serving. Of course this is just one way to cook Chicken breasts- they can be chopped and fried or grilled to name just a few other ways to cook them.
Sausages: Preheat the grill to medium. Place on the rack and grill for 10-13 minutes, turning regularly.
